School Emergency Procedures

A Guide for Parents

In order to keep our students safe while they are at school, we practice and prepare for possible emergencies. It is paramount that all parents/guardians are aware of the CESD policies and procedures, including what to do 'When an Emergency Occurs,' and the requirements outlined in the 'Controlled Student Release Procedure,' both found on the second page of the guide listed below.

For your information, please take a moment to read the attached document:

STUDENT ABSENCES

If you know your child will be absent, please call the school to let us know. Unreported absences will receive a call to confirm the absence. Please make sure your contact information is up to date.

SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS

Parent volunteers are always welcome at CP Blakely School! We have a strong tradition of great parent involvement in activities like the turkey dinner, the end of the year BBQ, track and field day and the Halloween dance. As well, there are many opportunities to volunteer in classrooms for special events and field trips. Volunteers need to sign the Oath of Confidentiality and must have a currrent RCMP Criminal Record Check left on file at the school office. The RCMP Criminal Record Check Letter simply requires you to drop it off to the RCMP detachment and when the check is done, you pick it up. There is no cost in doing either of the forms. Feel free to pick up the forms from our office or print them out from the links below:
